Nightfall Missions
Are these missions do-able with heroes and hench? I mean like all of the missions or just X amount of missions? Reason for asking is that my laptop can't handle the graphics too well and lag most of the time, but i want to finish most of the game as much as i can on my own before I buy a laptop dell xps. If I can do these missions with heroes and hench only it would be cool. Because I'd prefer to do that than risk a group's chances because I lag and aggro some mobs.

Yes, they are do-able, but that doesn't mean they are easy to H/H.

The majority (maybe even all) of Nightfall missions in normal mode can be done with Heroes and Henchies (even achieving master reward on some of the missions), many of them can be H/H'd in Hard Mode too. (but for HM you'l need to be flawless with them)
If you know what you are doing with Heroes and Henchies you actually have an advantage over human player teams in that your team will have more "discipline" than most human teams for staying together as a group (they will run off when u dont want if your not careful, but humans are way worse about it) and focusing on the "called" target (Heroes and Henchies target your target without being told 90% of the time) I just finished Nightfall last week, and have just vanquished my first 2 HM zones in the last couple days, all with Heroes and Henchies.... I hate PUGs and have nothing good to say about playing with other human players. (actually one good thing about the 2 or 3 times I have joined a PUG, is failing the mission with a PUG showed me exactly how to beat that mission with a H&H team on my next try- so I guess they are good for something) Last edited by pygar; Feb 27, 2008 at 11:27 PM // 23:27.. |

You can do most, but you need to search the right builds on Wiki because if not it may not work. Some you will have trouble with.

Did all of them with H/H the one that got me the most trouble getting master was Grand Court of Sebelkeh.
Read the mission page on wiki before going in and adjust your build and your heroe's builds accordingly. I'm a ranger and use a MM, a SS and and anti caster mesmer with 2 ele and 2 monk henchies. It gets me through most of the missions without major build changes. You could also try the Sabway trio.(Search is your friend) Most of the time i just leech on my H/H. |

I've done it.
Masters might be difficult on a few, and HM is almost impossible, but it is doable. The ONLY one that is a real pain without playing with other people is Jennur's Hoarde, since you need to carry bundle items (the only thing that can hurt the bosses in that level) and h/h can't do that. God I wish A.net would update heroes so they can carry bundles. |

thanks guys. now, does your profession play a big role in it? could an e/m and her h/h be able to do it easier than say p/w + h/h. gah, it probably depends on the mission but i'd like to make sure with you guys.

One nice thing about heroes (and henchies) is that you can build your team around your own profession. If, for example, you are an ele you might be less inclined to take an ele hero.
And, yes .... a lot depends on the mission. |

You can get masters fairly easy on normal mode with just heroes and henchies. The only one I had some trouble with was Jennurs, but read up some strats on wiki and got it fairly easily after that, though It took awhile.
Oh, and I think it was moddock crevice mission. You can do pretty much all NF with any build, but you may need to bring a speed boost or snare to catch the runners in that mission to get masters. |
